BuyEasy: My First Product Design Project

Read unbiased reviews & buy at the lowest price.

BuyEasy

The Goal

Designing an app that performs 2 functions. It provides the user:

  1. A comparison of the prices & deliverables of a product from popular online stores.
  2. An ability to read all reviews from all sources in one place, with an overall review done by the sentiment analysis of all the reviews.

I’ve used the neomorphic or soft UI effect in the whole design.

Onboarding

The onboarding process is simple, with minimal details and clear CTAs.

Search

The search screen offers a search option and a lot of options in:

  • All Categories
  • Trending Products

Search Results

Search results are intuitive. There are minimal details on the product cards. A user can see the product category, title, rating, and number of compiled reviews.

The total number of reviews is important here as it is one of the app's key functions.

Why didn’t I mention the price?

Prices are useful only when the app has different sellers for the same app. Here, we have the product for one single product. The prices are clearly mentioned on the product page.

The product details page

Product Details

The product details page is the core interface of the app where the user tends to spend most of his/her time.

  • There are product images and key specs on the top.
  • Then the user can see the buying options with the services offered by each seller.
  • The Reviews Section is the other key function of the app.
The user first might have to look at the how-to read for the first time he/she has a look.
  • The last section provides a look at all the reviews in one place.

Reviews work this way:
Out of the total reviews accumulated across all the online stores/sellers, the app does a sentiment analysis using Artificial Intelligence, and the findings are expressed as follows:

  • The Green section implies the percentage of total reviews with a Positive review of the criteria mentioned inside the chart.
  • The white section implies the percentage of total reviews with a Neutral review / no mention of the criteria mentioned inside the chart.
  • The red section implies the percentage of total reviews with a negative review of the criteria mentioned inside the chart.

There are 2 buttons at the end of the page,

  1. Buy at the lowest price.
  2. Write a review.

We can incentivize writing reviews for better services or sale notifications.

Write a review

The write a review page is a simple text input box.

The user will be suggested some questions that help in writing better reviews.

You can have a look at the prototype here.

That’s all!

I’d appreciate it if you could write your thoughts about the whole design in the responses.
