Five Restaurant Weeks Returning to Philadelphia This Spring

Dine in (or out!) at more than 100 restaurants in Northern Liberties, Media and more...

Travel Responsibly: In an effort to limit the impact of COVID-19, mask-wearing and social distancing are required in all public spaces per official guidelines. Advance tickets or reservations are highly recommended or necessary at many spots. Your best bet: Plan ahead.

Get hungry, Philly, because restaurants around the region have major dining deals coming your way.

Greater Philadelphia hosts five (yup, five!) restaurant weeks this spring, spanning 100 restaurants across three counties with food representing countries around the world.

Geography-focused events in Northern Liberties, King of Prussia and Media mean ambitious diners can take advantage of several deals within a short distance of one other, while Caribbean Restaurant Week and Dine Latino Restaurant Week are all about supporting Black- and Brown-owned businesses across the city who’ve been hit hardest by COVID-19.

Each restaurant week operates a bit differently, with restaurants or groups of restaurants setting their own menus and prices, but the goal is simple: Enjoy delicious food while supporting local businesses as they weather the storm of the pandemic and aim for recovery.

And yes, dining out (and in) in Philly looks a bit different these days. Some restaurants have indoor seating with limited capacity, some have elaborate al fresco setups and others are happy to wrap up your meal to go. Your best bet: Plan ahead. Call ahead or check online to find out the best way to support each restaurant and definitely make reservations. Get more information about Greater Philadelphia and COVID-19 here.

Guests will find $10-$20 lunch specials and $20-$40 dinners, as well as takeout options and a new outdoor dining experience. Takeout Under the Tents (located in the Yellow Outer Loop parking lot) features 12 dining tents and four heated igloos where diners can enjoy takeout or delivery from participating restaurants, plus live music each Thursday and Sunday, and a Family Fun Day on April 17. Walk off your meal at the King of Prussia Mall and be sure to support the KOP Shops for CHOP retailers who donate a portion of their sales to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Find Dominican, Cuban and more Caribbean flavors at local restaurants during Caribbean Restaurant Week, organized by Team Jamaica Bickle and the Young Caribbean Professionals Network. Participating restaurants — 17 in total — are located around the city and include 48th Street Grill in West Philadelphia, Cuba Libre and Reef Restaurant & Lounge in Old City and Ron’s Caribbean Cafe in Logan. Normally, these restaurants would be serving droves of spectators who arrive in Philly to cheer on athletes at the Penn Relays this time of year, but new health and safety guidelines for the track event mean no spectators and quieter restaurants. That means more delicious food for you and a chance to support these local businesses.

Many of Philly’s Latinx-owned restaurants take part in Dine Latino Restaurant Week, an initiative from the Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. The dining deal and event goal are straightforward: Buy a dinner entrée from one of 25 restaurants and receive a free appetizer or dessert, all while supporting small business owners who’ve had to scale back their operations due to COVID-19. Seafood-forward Alma del Mar (as seen on Season 5 of Queer Eye), plant-based Bar Bombón, churro cental El Merkury and empanada heaven Jezabel’s Argentine Bakery are among the delicious participants.
