《集合啦！动物森友会》即将推出超级马力欧兄弟联动更新 - 数码窝
虽然《集合啦！动物森友会》热度已经不像发布早期，但依然有不少玩家在持续建设自己的小岛，任天堂也会定期推出免费更新。在今早些的直面会上，官方公开了将在2月25日推出的免费更新内容，与经典游戏IP超级马力欧兄弟联动，版本号「Ver.1.8.0」。
进入三月份即可选择各种超级马力欧兄弟主题道具，包括家具、服装、墙纸、地毯等，并且还会有能传送的「水管」家具，当然前提是你需要在岛上布设2个或者以上的「水管」。为了吸引玩家，任天堂在本次更新后会赠送「超级马力欧墙」墙纸。
除了联动主题外，女儿节、圆周率日、三叶草日也有对应道具等推出。
