I decided to unbox the new Surface Dock 2 and older Surface Dock side-by-side to compare.

- Which should we open first?
- Looks the same so far…
- Same packaging…
- The AC/Mains cable box is thicc
- The power brick cable is also thicc
- 199 Watts!
- Look at that puny 90W model on the right
- But they use the same power connector
- Just a little longer on the new one
- And the same SurfLink 40-pin connector
- But the other end of the SurfLink cable is different
- 70mm deep instead of 60mm deep
- Same height (30mm)
- Ports!
- More Ports and pretty squares
