I decided to unbox the new Surface Dock 2 and older Surface Dock side-by-side to compare.

• Look at that puny 90W model on the right
• But they use the same power connector
• Just a little longer on the new one
• And the same SurfLink 40-pin connector
• But the other end of the SurfLink cable is different
• 70mm deep instead of 60mm deep
• Same height (30mm)
