Gould joins EncompaaS as CCO

Compliance platform provider EncompaaS has appointed David Gould as its chief customer officer.

"David has an excellent reputation as a thought leader in the information governance sector worldwide, as well as a strong track record of articulating strategically important enterprise information governance solutions across a wide variety of industry sectors," said EncompaaS' Australia-based founder and CEO Jesse Todd.

"Couple this with his long-standing relationship with myself and a number of other EncompaaS staff, and it made perfect sense for David to come on board as part of our global growth plans."

Gould joins EncompaaS from Micro Focus, where he served as worldwide director of secure content management solutions.

He previously worked at HPE as worldwide director of information governance solutions, and at Everything Channel as engagement manager.

Gould's former roles also include co-founder and vice president at Alinion, vice president of marketing and strategic initiatives at Interpro, founder of FocusOne, co-founder and managing director of ChipShots, and vice president of corporate communications at Fujitsu America.

He holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of California Los Angeles.

"My goal at EncompaaS is to leverage my ability to create strong, binding customer relationships based on innovation, market commitment and expertise," said Gould.

"Now I have the opportunity to be on the inside and help lead a very dynamic team with a true passion for great customer outcomes."

Now’s the Time for 400G Migration

The optical fibre community is anxiously awaiting the benefits that 400G capacity per wavelength will bring to existing and future fibre optic networks.

Nearly every business wants to leverage the latest in digital offerings to remain competitive in their respective markets and to provide support for fast and ever-increasing demands for data capacity. 400G is the answer.

Initial challenges are associated with supporting such project and upgrades to fulfil the promise of higher-capacity transport.

The foundation of optical networking infrastructure includes coherent optical transceivers and digital signal processing (DSP), mux/demux, ROADM, and optical amplifiers, all of which must be able to support 400G capacity.

With today’s proprietary power-hungry and high cost transceivers and DSP, how is migration to 400G networks going to be a viable option?

PacketLight's next-generation standardised solutions may be the answer. Click below to read the full article.
