Reno 3 outmuscles Reno 3 Pro on AnTuTu benchmark

Earlier today, OPPO took the wraps off Reno 3, Reno 3 Pro, and Enco Free true wireless earbuds at an event in China as expected. Soon after the launch, media personnel got to play with new units. And that has resulted in a very interesting AnTuTu benchmark test that pits Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765 Soc with MediaTek’s Dimensity 1000L. A source on Weibo revealed surprising insights.

According to the AnTuTu benchmark scores shared by the user, the standard Reno 3 with MediaTek Dimensity 1000L scores more than the Reno 3 Pro with Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G which goes against the logic of ‘Pro’ moniker. Looking at the screenshots, we can clearly see the standard Reno 3 scores 126,692 points for CPU, whereas the Reno 3 Pro scores only 102,230 points for CPU. The same goes for GPU where the former scores 99,250 points and the latter scores 93,977 points. However, the Pro variant scores 67,632 and 56,983 points for Memory and UX, compared to slightly low scores of 67,349 and 44,378 points of standard Reno 3.

These scores tell us how far MediaTek has come after lingering in the shadows of Qualcomm in the mid-range and premium segment. That being said, the extra cash for Reno 3 Pro is being justified with a much premium curved punch-hole 90Hz display, 5x hybrid zoom-capable telephoto camera and 30W VOOC 4.0 fast charging technology.
