CFO 大卫·韦纳在回答分析师提问时表示，从长远角度来看，Facebook 确实将继续面临精准投放广告方面的挑战和颓势 … 原因包括几点，第一是法规格局在不断演变，GDPR（欧盟通用数据保护条例）开始生效，已经有一些用户开始选择「不允许」Facebook 获取他们的联系人信息和（出于精准投放广告目的我们所需的）网站浏览记录。另外，移动平台正在朝着保护隐私的方向发展，这可能会影响到广告投放的精准程度。最后，Facebook 也在不停对产品进行更新换代，而一些新功能也可能对广告数据产生影响。
