一名乘坐昨天阿拉斯加航AS401航班的旅客在网上发文称，AS401航班在准备降落西雅图机场时，由于大雾不得不在上空盘旋，在无尽的盘旋中飞行员突发奇想，向管制员申请能不能带着旅客到东边雷尼尔雪山观光一下，没想到管制员还真的同意了。这名乘客的说法并未得到航司证实，不过AS401确实在FR24上留下了一个有趣的航迹图。
