Canonical 近日宣布，Ubuntu 17.10（Artful Aardvark）操作系统将于 2018 年 7 月 19 日结束使命。
发布于 2017 年 10 月 19 日，Ubuntu 17.10 被 Canonical 和 Ubuntu 的创始人 Mark Shuttleworth 命名为“Artful Aardvark”，它是自 Ubuntu 11.04（Natty Narwhal）发布，使用 GNOME 桌面环境六年以来，Ubuntu 发布的第一个使用 Canonical 的 Unity 用户界面的操作系统。
Ubuntu 17.10 也标志着附带在系统中的桌面环境 Ubuntu GNOME 风格的终止，它也是第一个切换到下一代默认 Wayland 显示服务器而不是 X.Org Server 的版本。
