11日，嘉陵江支流涪江四川段水位快速上涨形成洪峰，给宝成铁路涪江大桥造成巨大冲击。相关部门采用“重车压梁”的方式，即让两列满载货物、总重超过8000吨的火车驶上大桥，增加铁路桥的自重，以此加强桥梁的稳定性，抵御洪水冲击。
