6月21日，小米在香港举行IPO路演，针对此前对于小米高估值的质疑，雷军表示，“我不care小米是不是互联网公司。很多人问我到底是给小米腾讯的估值还是苹果的估值，我说我要腾讯乘苹果的估值，因为小米是全能型的。”
雷军说，“这次550亿美元的定价，就是我也不想开价了，你们随便开吧。总不至于连550亿美元都不值吧？”
5月3日，小米向港交所提交IPO申请文件，此前报道称，小米完成IPO后市值将达到900-1100亿美元，此估值引发了大家对于小米是“互联网公司”还是“硬件公司”的讨论。近日，在A股的CDR发行推迟之后，小米将估值下调至550亿美元至700亿美元。
