CUPS 从 GPL 切换到 Apache
苹果公司的 CUPS（前称 Common Unix Printing System）宣布从 2.3 版本起从 GPLv2 许可证切换到 Apache v2 许可证。CUPS 由 Michael Sweet 开发，1999 年发布首个公开版本，之后迅速成为大多数 Linux 发行版默认的打印系统，苹果也于 2002 年在 Mac OS X 系统中采用了 CUPS，2007 年雇佣了 Michael Sweet 并收购了源代码。苹果能切换许可证的原因是它要求贡献者签署协议将任何版权的共有权授予苹果。
