哈勃发现一颗“黑木星”
哈勃天文望远镜发现了一颗漆黑的太阳系外行星。这颗行星的大气层吸收了至少 94% 的可见光。被称为 WASP-12b 的行星属于热木星，这颗巨大气态行星的轨道距离恒星太近表面温度极高。它的表面温度高达华氏 4600 度，大多数分子无法在恒星照射的一面生存，因而无法形成云反射恒星光，入射光穿透大气层，被氢原子吸收转变成热能。科学家没有想到会发现如此黑的行星，大多数热木星会反射 40% 左右的光。
