中国造岛神器下水
中国公开了一艘被称为 “造岛神器” 的巨型船只，此举可能会重新引发对中国在南中国海领土主张的担忧。全长 140 米的天鲲号是亚洲最大的绞吸挖泥船，每小时能将相当于 3 个奥林匹克游泳池体积的岩石从海底粉碎吸出，输送至 15 公里开外的造岛工地。过去 5 年期间，中国使用类似船舶造出一系列战略岛屿，以支持其对南海 85% 海域的主权主张。2013 年至 2016 年间是中国兴建岛屿的高峰期，共建成 7 座岛屿，总面积达到 2000 英亩，并在上面兴建了机场、导弹基地与雷达系统。菲律宾周一对这艘造岛神器表达了担忧，称将会密切跟踪其活动。
