Hi all

As per SAP notes and documentations, to enable ATCUD generation for Portugal invoices, a new series (starts with F for FI and B for SD) has to be assigned to document types in SIPT_NUMBR_FI_V. If invoices have already been posted for the document type in scope (say doc type DR) in current year, you shall not modify the current config, but add a new entry to assign a new number range to doc type DR for eg.

This means, we have 2 entries in config (SIPT_NUMBR_FI_V)

Doc type DR assigned to number range 01 and series 01 FY 2022

Doc type DR assigned to number range 02 and series F021 FY 2022

The series in 2nd line adheres to naming convention for series and ATCUD code should be triggered. However, when I post a new DR document, only number range 01 is considered (02 with new series is ignored) - number range 01 comes from Document type configuration which is a global config.

Questions -

1) Why does SAP recommend a change in number range in table SIPT_NUMBR_FI_V if this has no impact on number range assignment ? (I am sure SAP cant be suggesting we change number range assignment in Document type as this has a global impact)

2) If existing series cannot be modified, how do we test the ATCUD functionality in the middle of the year considering we already have documents posted in document type DR ? Anyone facing similar issues ?
