11月28日， 《王者荣耀》官宣新英雄赵怀真将于12月上线正式服，并放出了新英雄的海报。
角色设定上，赵怀真是云缨的青梅竹马，是一位温和淡定的修行之人。他豁达乐观，虽自幼罹患恶疾，却相信世界之大终有治愈之法。为解体内阴阳二气紊乱的病症，他踏上修行，研习太极术。
同时，他也是一位烟火气十足的翩翩少年——作为云缨的青梅竹马，每当“意外”发生，平和可靠的他总是会默默收拾“烂摊子”。而私下里，性格截然相反的两人争吵拌嘴，也是常有之事。
在怀真心中，做事不为结果，遵循当下本心即可。纵使世事阴阳多变，他定会坚守内心自在。
