Honor recently unveiled the Honor 80 series in China. The lineup brings the Honor 80 SE, Honor 80, and Honor 80 Pro. The devices are quite interesting bringing up to 160 MP cameras, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, and even the newer Snapdragon 782G. According to reports, these devices will not remain the only options in the lineup for a long time. The company is gearing up to introduce a new variant dubbed Honor 80 GT. It will appear as soon as the next month.

The new report comes from Chinese Tipster, which states that the Honor 80 GT will pack a flat display. This may not sound like a big deal for some, but the entire lineup brings curved edges. So, the Honor 80 GT will be the only one switching for a flat finish on the display. As the name clearly suggests, the Honor 80 GT will be focused on gaming.

Under the hood, the phone will not disappoint. It will bring the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 inside the flagships. However, we expect it to be slightly cheaper than the premium Honor 80 Pro for example. The device may also bring a unique finish to the design. The last year’s Honor X40 GT has a very distinct look. Unfortunately, things are not clear for the Honor 80 GT. We will have to wait a few more days, or perhaps, weeks, to know the phone’s specs in its entirety.

Honor 80 Pro specifications

The Honor 80 Pro features a 6.7-inch OLED screen with a pill-shaped centered punch-hole. The screen has a Full HD+ resolution, and the phone runs MagicOS 7 based on Android 12. The device runs with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 and has 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of Internal Storage. In terms of optics, the phone has a 160 MP main camera, 50 MP ultrawide snapper, and 2 MP depth sensor. The device draws power from a 4,800 mAh battery with 66W fast charging. It also has an under-screen fingerprint scanner.
