Meta 收购三家游戏工作室：Camouflaj、Armature Studios 和 Twisted Pixel
在刚结束的 2022 Meta Connect 大会上，Meta 宣布已收购三家游戏工作室，分别是 Camouflaj、Armature Studio 和 Twisted Pixel。
据了解，Camouflaj 曾开发了《钢铁侠 VR》，其 PSVR 独占之作《钢铁侠 VR》将于 11 月 3 日登陆 Quest 2 头显。Armature Studio 曾开发了《生化危机4 VR》，还参与开发了《无主之地》系列和《堡垒之夜》。而 Twisted Pixel 旗下作品包括《The Maw》、《Splosion Man》等。
Meta 还没有透露这些工作室加入 Meta 后将要做什么。此前《 Beat Saber 》开发商 Beat Games 在 2019 年年底前首次出现在收购名单上，而最近在收购 VR 健身应用《 Supernatural 》开发商 Within 时，遭到了美国联邦贸易委员会（FTC）的反对。过去几年，Meta 已陆续收购了多家游戏工作室：
- 2020 年 1 月收购《 Asgard’s Wrath 》开发商 Sanzaru Games；
- 2020 年 5 月收购《 Echo VR 》开发商 Ready At Dawn；
- 2021 年 4 月收购《 Onward 》开发商 Downpour Interactive；
- 2021 年 5 月收购《 Population One 》开发商 BigBox VR；
- 2021 年 6 月收购元宇宙游戏平台 Crayta 开发商 Unit2 Games；
- 2021 年 11 月收购《 Wilson’s Heart 》开发商 Twisted Pixel；
总而言之，现在 Oculus Studios 的名单相当庞大，这是 Meta 内部唯一一个前 Oculus 品牌仍然保留的地方之一。虽然 Meta Connect 大会的重点主要围绕 Quest Pro，但我们很好奇这些开发工作室在 Meta 的下一代消费级设备的生命周期中做了什么。
我们已经看到一些迹象表明，Quest Pro 可能会在下一代高通芯片组的支持下性能得到巨大提升，而 Oculus Studios 可能会在利用这种力量实现 VR 游戏体验方面处于领先地位。
