What to expect from Telstra Messaging

Telstra Messaging is the next generation in messaging technology. Using Rich Communication Services (RCS), Telstra customers with a compatible mobile on an eligible plan, will be able to access a number of new features including group chat, file transfer and location sharing .

Because Telstra Messaging is underpinned by Rich Communication Services, you won’t need to worry about who uses what messaging app anymore.

Message delivery

Get your Telstra Voicemail delivered as an audio file to your Telstra Messaging inbox. If you have Telstra Voice2Text or Message2Text, you'll also receive a speech to text conversion of your voicemail content.

Share any file type quickly

You can send pictures, video clips, documents, spreadsheets, presentations, PDF documents, map locations, stickers, and sketches in your messages to other Telstra Messaging users.

Group messaging & enhanced features

Telstra Messaging allows you to connect with multiple people by creating groups with other Telstra Messaging users. You’ll also receive SMS delivery notifications when sending messages to other Telstra Messaging users.

If you have one of these devices with up-to-date software, you’ll be among many now experiencing the benefits of HD Calling. Please note: if you have Call Select, Call Manager and/or Mobile VPN on your service, your service will not be migrated to Telstra Messaging. Some features require all users to have Telstra Messaging.
