One small thing that Apple got right
Only Apple. No one else.
The other day, I had to explain to my dad the concept of removing an app from the home screen vs uninstalling it from his Android phone. After the half an hour study class over a call, I remembered how I could have avoided it, if dad had an iPhone.
I think there are lot of things in Android that are done better than iPhone, but there is one small interaction that Apple got a perfect 10 on all their devices — uninstalling apps. Sorry, there is no word called ‘uninstall’ in the Apple dictionary. If you don’t want an app, just remove the app icon and boom it’s gone. Compare that to the ‘uninstalling process’ in Windows. On Android, during my call, when my dad tried to uninstall an app from the app drawer, he added it to the home screen, a couple of times by mistake. I felt bad for him.
Why did everyone else get it wrong?
