2018年3月7日，中国联通宣布正式在全国6座城市率先启动“eSIM一号双终端”业务的办理。即日起，上海、天津、广州、深圳、郑州、长沙6座城市的用户可直接到营业厅进行该业务的办理，从即日起至2018年12月31日，针对在中国联通开通该项新业务的用户，可享受从激活起12个月eSIM副卡使用功能费减免。
