28日下午，青岛海水稻研究发展中心白泥地实验基地首批耐盐碱水稻材料开始收割评测，产量最高的达到亩产620.95公斤。专家认为，这意味着我国“海水稻”研究取得了一大重要突破。耐盐碱水稻俗称海水稻，是一种可以长在滩涂和盐碱地的水稻。今年白泥地实验基地试种了312份具有较强耐盐碱性的“海水稻”材料（水稻品种审定前，称之为材料）。经过收割、称重、去杂等环节，最终测定有4个材料的亩产超过400公斤。
