油轮沉没引发环境担忧
一艘熊熊燃烧的伊朗油轮在东海沉没，产生了 16 公里长的浮油，引发了环境和生态方面的担忧。在与一艘货轮发生碰撞时，“桑吉号”(Sanchi)油轮正装载着 13.6 万吨高度易燃的燃油，它在上周日爆炸沉没。油轮的沉没将对海洋生物构成巨大危害，因为它装载的燃油将会扩散而非燃尽。专家们更担心会有污染更大的船用重油释放入海，使脆弱的海洋生物暴露在剧毒物质之下。“桑吉号”灾难是自 1991 年以来最大的油轮泄漏事故。阿拉斯加大学前海洋保护专家 Rick Steiner 称，可能有 6 万到 9 万吨已经泄漏入海，称本次泄漏“十分巨大”并且和 1989 年阿拉斯加海岸“埃克森－瓦尔迪兹的漏油事件中官方估计的一样大”。他也认为中国政府可能在淡化泄漏的严重程度。
