Good quote from Reddit thread: "Meltdown is a big wrench thrown at us and Intel. Spectre is an insidious path full of snares lying ahead of us all." https://reddit.com/r/technology/comments/7nyawb/whitepapers_for_the_meltdown_and_spectre/…
Also: you're going to hear lots about "Meltdown" and "Spectre" on the news in the coming days. They have rather cool logos.

Well HOLY GOD. Firefox have issued an advisory "Our internal experiments confirm that it is possible to use similar techniques from Web content to read private information between different origins".

If you use Firefox: UPDATE to Quantum / 57 now.

AFAIK the biggest security vulnerabilities IN THE HISTORY OF COMPUTING have just been exposed. *I'm trying* not to exaggerate here.

1. Update your Mac to High Sierra 10.13.2 2. Update Windows now and again next week 3. Update Linux NOW 3. Update Chrome NOW 4. Update Firefox NOW
