Google 和亚马逊两大巨头之间的商业纠纷最终结果是让消费者遭殃。Google 指责亚马逊拒绝销售它旗下的产品如 Nest E Thermostat、Nest Camera IQ、Nest Secure、以及 Chromecast 和 Google Home，亚马逊的流媒体应用 Prime Video 也不为 Google Cast 用户提供服务。Google 称它尝试与亚马逊达成协议允许客户访问彼此的产品和服务。因为缺乏互惠性，Google 宣布它的 YouTube 服务将从 2018 年 1 月 1 日起停止支持 Amazon Fire TV 和 Echo Show。Google 表示它希望与亚马逊尽可能快的达成协议解决分歧。
