Yen Digital Interview Experience For Associate Engineers (On-Campus)

Hello,
I recently had the privilege of participating in the pool campus drive in my college for the Associate Engineer position at Yen Digital This exciting opportunity captured my interest due to the innovative work and dynamic environment that Yen Digital is known for.

Here’s a detailed account of my experience throughout the selection process.

  • 1st Round: Group Discussion
  • 2nd Round: Technical Test (50 Questions)
  • 3rd Round: Technical Interview
  • 4th Round: Interview with directors
  • 5th Round: HR round

Group Discussion Round

We were provided with topics like whether Should Phones be allowed in colleges, Work from home vs Office, Present Government Policy, Women Empowerment, etc. We were given 10 minutes to discuss on the topics. Each group consist of 10 people. It was more of a debate rather than a group discussion.

Technical Test Round

In this round selected candidates of the group discussion round were supposed to answer 50 questions within 60 minutesplatforms. It was taken on some online platforms which were proctored via webcam. the questions were from the languages the candidates selected (JAVA / PYTHON). As I chose Java, questions from Java were provided. Mainly questions were from Threading concepts, some practical approaches of inheritance, interface, and some simple output questions. Questions were very long and their options were also long so time management was a concern.

Tip: As it did not have negative markings so try to attempt all the questions.

Technical Interview

This a technical interview round where technical questions from skills based on your resume will be asked. I was asked these questions, HR tag in HTML and its CSS properties, how can I write javascript code within html page? Features of OOPs? Searching and shorting(Merge sort, quick sort) flowcharts, pseudo-code or code, printing pattern code, the difference between Array, LinkedList, ArrayList, the difference between linear search and binary search, and database queries like copying the one table content to another table, find the sum of department wise salary, etc.

Interview with Directors

In this round 1st director asked technical questions about my projects, Interface, Thread, Runnable class, IEnumeration Class, String, Abstract class, Inheritance why not possible with class but can be done through interface with example and OOPs concepts, etc.

2nd director wanted to know the candidate’s personality hence asked behavioral questions like Where do you see yourself after 5 years? How would you react as a team lead if any team member leaves your team? What kind of content do you consume from social media? etc
