《Gorilla Tag》这款VR游戏目前在Meta Quest Store中显示有103,112条评论，评论数量比起在商业上更加成功的VR游戏《Beat Saber》还要多出2倍。

但与《Beat Saber》不同，《Gorilla Tag》可以免费下载体验。这款VR游戏主要通过提供内购的方式盈利。2023年初，工作室Another Axiom宣布，仅通过内购就赚取了2600万美元。《Gorilla Tag》目前在Steam上的定价为19.99美元。

《Gorilla Tag》和《Beat Saber》的共同点在于这两款游戏只能在VR中体验，而且都需要挥动双臂。《Gorilla Tag》主要玩家是年轻人，他们将游戏作为社交聚会的场所。该游戏在App Lab平台大火后，吸引了将近500万名玩家关注才上线Quest Store，甚至在App Lab上还有数十款仿照《Gorilla Tag》的游戏。
