苹果 AirPods Pro 耳机曾考虑命名为 AirPods Extreme

IT之家 2 月 23 日消息，根据外媒 MacRumors 获得的内部信息，在苹果 2019 年 10 月发布 AirPods Pro 之前的几个月，该公司考虑将耳机的名称更改为 AirPods Extreme。

报道称，AirPods Extreme 这个名称是由苹果领导团队中至少一名成员提出的，但在许多员工反对下，该公司最终决定继续使用 AirPods Pro 命名。

IT之家注：苹果曾在其已停产的 AirPort Extreme 路由器和Mac 电脑无线网卡中使用过“Extreme”后缀。

最终，AirPods Pro 这个名称更符合苹果多个产品线的品牌形象，比如iPhone、iPad 和 Mac。尽管如此，苹果公司还是在高端产品上使用了一些其他后缀，例如 AirPods Max 和 Apple Watch Ultra。

苹果于 2022 年 9 月发布了第二代 AirPods Pro，并在一年后更新了 USB-C 充电盒版本。此前多方爆料显示，第三代 AirPods Pro 将于 2025 年发布。
