Grammys 2024: Winchester choristers on winning for Star Wars soundtrack

Choristers who sing with Winchester Cathedral Choir are celebrating being part of a Grammy Award-winning soundtrack.
Star Wars Jedi: Survivor won the award for the Best Soundtrack for Video Games and other Interactive Media at Sunday's ceremony.
Composer Stephen Barton had chosen choristers from The Pilgrims' School to be on the soundtrack.
Cathedral director Andrew Lumsden said the choristers were "thrilled".
They recorded their vocals on the soundtrack to the action-adventure video game at Abbey Road Studios in London last year.
Stephen Barton, who himself had been a chorister at Pilgrims' School, thanked the boys in his acceptance speech during the star-studded ceremony in Los Angeles.
"A special moment for me on this was [that] we had the choristers from The Pilgrims' School in Winchester come and record on this and add those smooth jazz chords. It reminded me about music teachers being the most important thing, so I dedicate this to mine," he said.
He later added it had been an "absolute pleasure and privilege" to work with the choristers.
"They were, as always, consummate professionals, effortlessly taking to the world of studio soundtrack recording, click tracks, and some very difficult music to learn and record extremely fast."
Choristers from the school make up the choir at Winchester Cathedral.
Cathedral director Mr Lumsden said: "This is fantastic news for all of us at the Cathedral and The Pilgrims' School but particularly for the Choristers.
"They are thrilled to have won the award and are over the moon with excitement.
"It is also very exciting that we have similar projects already in the pipeline."
