据 Foresight News 消息，澳大利亚参议院经济立法委员会提交《数字资产（市场监管）法案 2023》，该法案旨在实施数字资产许可制度，并为澳大利亚央行数字货币（CBDC）的流通制定报告要求。该法案还对数字资产、数字资产交易所和稳定币提供了明确的定义，以及做出了数字资产交易所授权要求、数字资产托管授权要求、稳定币发行授权要求和澳大利亚 CBDC 服务商的披露要求。
该法案最初于由参议员 Andrew Bragg 提出，并于 2023 年 3 月 29 日首次宣读。2023 年 3 月 30 日，参议院将该法案移交参议院经济立法委员会（委员会）于 2023 年 8 月 2 日之前进行调查和报告，之后多次延迟报告日期至 9 月 4 日。
