At the Global Digital Fashion Innovation Conference and Meta-Universe Fashion Summit, Liu Chen, the founder and CEO of Style3D, remarked that the fashion industry is poised for a digital transformation.

As a 3D simulation industrial software company focused on the fashion industry, Style3D was founded based on the recognition of the potential of digital clothing.

"We essentially digitize the physical world, encompassing three types of entities: rigid bodies, deformable bodies, and non-volumetric deformable objects like clothing, skin, leaves, and paper. Our expertise lies in simulating non-volumetric deformable bodies, specifically soft bodies," explained Liu Chen.

Flexible simulation, one of the most challenging domains in computer graphics, is an integral part of Style3D's technological advancements. It involves transforming prototypes into forces and distances between triangles and quadrangles through mechanical simulation and guidelines. Liu Chen highlighted Style3D's expertise in this field, having published two papers at SIGGRAPH, the foremost conference in computer graphics. Furthermore, the company has established research and development centers in Hangzhou, Munich, and Utah, said Liu.

Liu has observed significant shifts in the technological foundation of 3D digitized fashion generation, including advancements in Artificial Intelligence Graphics Computing (AIGC) and spatial computing. Leveraging the strong learning capabilities of AI, Liu believes that AIGC can analyze fashion styles and trends, ultimately predicting the future direction of the industry.

Style3D is actively exploring similar avenues by utilizing AI capabilities. "For instance, when designing content, we rely on vast resource libraries containing textures, patterns, creative techniques, and background patterns. In the future, these libraries can be fully generated using AIGC," explained Liu.

Liu further envisions the application of "text-to-image" technology in the design process. "By analyzing trending keywords and employing text and images, we can generate styles," he said.

Style3D demonstrated its latest application feature, "text-to-image," at the Global Digital Fashion Innovation Conference. The software, recently introduced, can generate clothing patterns based on simple text descriptions.

Fashion brand owners, especially young professionals, acknowledge that software like Style3D's fundamentally alters traditional work processes and design methods in the fashion industry. To keep pace with the digital wave sweeping the industry, they are eager to learn and adapt, recognizing the new opportunities and challenges presented by AI-driven design software.

Style3D employees at the exhibition area echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the significant departure from traditional pattern-making using blank fabrics when designing clothing digitally. They stressed the importance of designers shifting their mindset and developing the ability to envision how virtual garments will manifest in the real world.

Regarding AI's progress, Liu remarked that it has transcended the peaks of hope and despair and is forging ahead. The fashion industry, known for its embrace of AI-generated content, does not perceive AI's randomness as a disadvantage, unlike other industries that prioritize AI's accuracy and controllability.

"While casually inputting keywords, I intended to create an image of a rabbit on the moon or Chang'e. However, the surprising result was an image of a rabbit carrying the moon. Such unexpected outcomes are delightful surprises," Liu shared.

As Style3D continues embracing intelligent technologies and advancements, Liu emphasizes that the company remains driven by foundational technology. The core focus on "first principles" remains integral to Style3D's philosophy.

"In essence, the trend itself is not of utmost importance; instead, we need to return to our original intentions and first principles. Our entrepreneurial endeavor aims to solve fundamental issues, such as enhancing communication within the textile and clothing industry regarding garment samples and overcoming geographical barriers," Liu concluded.
