种种迹象表明， Intel将在今年底发布的Meteor Lake 14代酷睿会重新加入四级缓存 ，就像当年的Haswell 4代酷睿、Braodwell 5代酷睿，但也不完全一样。
据快科技了解，Intel早在 2020年12月 就申请了一项专利专利，详细解释了Meteor Lake四级缓存的设计和作用。
Intel给这种四级缓存取了个代号开发代号“Adamantine”(艾德曼合金)，并称之为 “封装内缓存”(on-package cache) ，意味着它并没有集成在CPU核心内部，而是与之共同封装。
Meteor Lake本身就分为四个不同模块，CPU Tile是处理器部分，Graphices Tile是核显部分，SoC Tile是输入输出和控制器部分，而四级缓存可能位于IOE Tile，也可能与它们并列整合。
