A while ago, I decided to adopt a second cat to keep my first feline, Dexter, company. At first, everything was going well with the new kitten. However, a few days after adopting him, he started showing symptoms of an illness. To my surprise, he also infected Dexter. Both cats became ill and I had to take them to the vet several times over a period of weeks.
Follow-up treatment for both cats was complicated. I had to make sure I gave them the right medicines, in the right dosage and at the right time. In addition, both cats needed constant attention and extra care. All of this caused me a lot of stress and worry.
That's when I decided to create my own app to help me organize my cats' treatment. The app allowed me to keep a record of the medicines I had to give them, the corresponding doses and the times I had to do it. This way, I was able to keep a more detailed control of the treatment and make sure that both felines received the attention they needed.
The app was very useful for me and my cats. Soon, I realized that it could be useful for other pet owners as well. So I decided to improve it and make it more accessible so that others could enjoy its benefits. Thus Dex, the pet care app, named after my first cat Dexter, was born.
