All-in-one data platform for newsletter writers and sponsors

We're Richard, Xavi, Gia, and Pau, makers of NewsletterDB. Over the last 3 weeks, we challenged ourselves to ideate & build an exciting data product that was in line with our builder skillsets. We're proud to say that we're shipping our first prototype on Product Hunt:

NewsletterDB (NLDB) is an all-in-one data platform for newsletter writers and sponsors.

📮 Why NewsletterDB?

As makers, one thing we wanted to learn was how these new media businesses start to monetize. On the creator side, there's a lot data aggregation that goes into calculating CPMs, CPAs, CPCs, and CTRs. On the sponsor side, it's difficult to find out these metrics if the creator doesn't already have them on hand. We started off with a database that shows top-level metrics for newsletters based on publicly available data.

1. We're building the largest database of newsletters on the Internet: Just search for newsletters within topics you want to promote in, or topics similar to your niche. 2. Find content that doesn't live on the web: Some newsletters aren't accessible through a public URL or published on the web. For example, if a newsletter writer has a newsletter hosted on ConvertKit, Beehiv, or ActiveCampaign, they might choose to make their content exclusive to being read in the inbox. We built NewsletterDB to not only scrape publicly available newsletters and issues but also parse through content that just lives inside the inboxes of subscribers, by being a subscriber to those newsletters ourselves.

3. NewsletterDB Pro: Introductory pricing. NewsletterDB Pro offers list-building features and keyword alerts suited for teams who regularly advertise on newsletters and want to discover new places to advertise on. Writers can also use our Pro tool for secondary research within the topics that they write about.

🚀 What’s next? We plan on catching the AI hype train by doing another round of scraping to fetch newsletter issues and, with the help of AI, let you "talk to our database." We also plan on adding app integrations so you can export your lists to Notion, Hubspot, Airtable, and more!
