There are a bunch of deals on first-party Nintendo games right now, coinciding with all the hype and opening weekend success of The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Retailers like Best Buy are selling various Nintendo Switch games for a discount of $20. For example, you can get New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe for $39.99 ($20 off) at Best Buy, Amazon, or Target. Or you can “get Luigi’d” with Luigi’s Mansion 3 for $39.99 ($20 off) at Walmart, Best Buy, or Amazon. Also, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury is discounted to $39.99 ($20 off) at AmazonBest Buy, and Walmart

While many of today’s discounted titles are remasters from the old Wii U generation, there are still some gems worth playing in 2023 if you missed out on them years ago. It’s good to see many of the MAR10 Day deals from last month pop up again, especially since these titles otherwise sell for full price. And it’s great timing if you now have a Mario-obsessed child who wants more Mushroom Kingdom adventures after seeing the movie.

This remastered rescue from the Wii U generation has new life on the Nintendo Switch, with classic-style 2D platforming action for up to four players across over 160 levels.

Super Mario 3D World is a polished version of the Wii U classic with a new expansion called Bowser’s Fury, which sees you collecting coins in an archipelago as you skirt, or battle, a kaiju-size Bowser.

The rerelease of the 2014 Wii U title allows one or two players to play as the whole crew of Kongs, from Donkey and Diddy to Dixie and Cranky. It also includes a new Funky Mode that’s easier and more approachable for newer or younger players.

Whether you’re wahoo-ing your way through more Mario games or you’re preparing for next month’s release of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, playing a Nintendo Switch in handheld mode for long stretches can be hand cramp city. The Hori Split Pad Compact controller can help remedy that; it’s on sale for $39.99 ($10 off) at Best Buy and Amazon. The Split Pad Compact is like a roomier Joy-Con that adds better ergonomics and even two extra programmable rear buttons to a Switch in handheld mode. It makes your device feel a little closer to a Steam Deck without fully sacrificing portability, like the larger Hori Split Pad Pro does. Read our Switch controller buying guide.

The Hori Split Pad Compact offers a comfortable grip for using your Nintendo Switch in handheld mode without the added bulk that comes with the Split Pad Pro.

The Bose SoundLink Flex, one of our favorite Bluetooth speakers, is on sale for around $129 ($20 off) in all colors at Amazon, Best Buy, and direct from Bose. The IP67-rated water-resistant speaker sports some great sound, with impressive bass that doesn’t get muddy or overpowering. And with a battery life of up to 12 hours, you can keep the tunes going pretty much all day before needing a charge via its convenient USB-C port. The Bose weighs just a little more than one pound, so it travels easily and can be oriented upright or flat — automatically adjusting its EQ for the best sound in either position. Read our buying guide.

Just another Manic Mondeals:

  • In the market for a superpowerful laptop? Apple’s last-gen 16-inch MacBook Pro with M1 Max processor, 1TB of storage, and 32GB of RAM is $2,799 (a massive $700 discount) at Best Buy. The newer M2 version is a nice improvement with improved battery life, but it’s mostly a small spec bump that costs a lot more than this deal. Read our review.
  • Eneba is selling a $100 Xbox gift card for $83.99 ($16 off) when you use code XBX100 at checkout until April 11th at 7AM ET. You can use this gift card to buy games or DLC on the Xbox storefront (consoles and PC).
  • Eneba also has a $75 PlayStation gift card for $65.49 (about $10 off) when you use discount code PSN75US at checkout until April 11th at 7AM ET. Just like the Xbox deal, you can use this gift card on the PlayStation Store to save a little on digital games or add-ons.
  • Anker’s 312 PowerWave magnetic wireless charger is $16.99 ($3 off) at Target. This convenient pad charges MagSafe iPhones at a solid 7.5W output and has a five-foot USB-C cable built in. Read our buying guide.
  • Woot has a variety of small Apple accessories on sale, including phone cases, chargers, and Apple Watch bands. For example, you can get an AirTag leather key ring in yellow for $12.99 (about $22 off MSRP).
  • If you’re fortunate enough to live near a Micro Center store, you may be able to get the latest AirPods Pro for $189.99 ($60 off) for store pickup or shipping. That’s $10 better than the regular lowest price for Apple’s best noise-canceling AirPods. Read our review.
  • Some of the latest laptops are now packing some pretty good microphones, but if you’re stuck on an older model with potato audio quality, you can improve it for just $20. Adorama is selling the USB-powered Samson Go Mic for $19.99 (about $12 off). The tiny mic clips onto your laptop and even offers a 3.5mm headphone jack for direct monitoring. Because, yes, you should always wear headphones on Zoom calls to circumvent echo cancellation.
  • Apple’s Magic Trackpad in a sleek black is on sale for $139 ($10 off) and the full-size Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and matching black keys is on sale for $173 ($16 off) — both offered by Amazon.
