High battery usage for Android OS and Android System on this ROM for my Mido (64GB). Anyone else with this issue?

I have done a clean flash with very little apps installed. Any steps to rectify this?

Recently my Mido suddenly shut down, was glowing from heat and the battery was completely drained... don't know if there is a connection

Thanks for the update, I have a question regarding OTA updates: After downloading there is no button to start installation. I can re-download the whole rom over and over again, but no trigger to start the upgrade.

Where on the system is the downloaded file located, so I can upgrade from TWRP?

nevermind, re-downloaded the update and everything works as expected

On the latest firmware I am experiencing distorted sound in Microsoft Teams via a wired 3.5 jack headphones with microphone. Everything works just fine over USB audio, Bluetooth headset and built-in speaker. I tried basic media apps like YouTube, all fine. Has anyone encountered similar issue?

I can confirm that my mido and other people's midos do not connect to familiar wi-fi networks if the screen is off. For example, if the wi-fi network is lost when the screen is off, then mido will no longer connect to it. It is trouble of kernel because on other kernel (for example kernel of crDroidAndroid-11.0-20220220-mido-v7.15) wi-fi connects normal.
I'm using a mido with pixel experience 12, recovery is orange fox. The installation guide on the pixel experience page explains the complete process from unlocking bootloader, wiping, partitioning and so on. Do I have to do all these steps including the steps with adb?

Or can I do it using "the comfortable way" by downloading the zip and flashing it by using the recovery?

So after doing a fresh install from scratch, the issue still persists. Android OS and Android System are the highest battery users. Based on the reviews from other ROMS this seems to primarily be an issue of A13 for this device and the kernel is known to be power hungry. Time to revert back to A9 or 10..

Maybe it's just a bug on my end, but unlike PE 10, the screen doesn't turn off when inactive. This also explains the hot smartphone: all apps and the screen just keep running if you don't actively close the apps and put the screen to sleep.

Oh yes, a functionality question: in PE 10, if you long pressed the menu button, you could trigger a screenshot. Could this be implemented again?

Hello,

I have an issue when flashing the latest rom. I own a mido 4GB ram / 64GB storage. Latest working rom was pixel experience release from 18/11/22.
I am using the recommended TWRP : https://github.com/zeelog/device_mido_twrp/releases/tag/2.0 and followed this guide : https://raw.githubusercontent.com/NRanjan-17/Pixel-Experience-Releases/main/install_guide.md

1. flash TWRP 3.7.0_12-0
2. Format data
3. reboot to recovery
3. wipe (dalvik, cache, system, vendor, data, internal storage)
4. reboot to recovery
5. create /data/media/0/
6. adb push rom.zip sdcard
7. install rom.zip

I am getting this error :
e1001 : failed to update system image.
Updater process ended with ERROR: 1

I have tried serveral version of pixel experience, still have the same error.
I am unable to flash any rom now...

Did I miss something ?

Also, adb sideload don't seems to work with the recommended TWRP, is it normal ?

Thank you for your help.

EDIT : Just found out what was the issue.
USB connection wasn't stable and despite of a successful transfert message, when pushing the rom on the phone, the file was corupted. Switching USB port solved the issue.
However sideload doesn't work with recommended TWRP.

first time i installed this OS, it boots fine but after connecting to wifi it says ,
Verify Pin
Your phone was reset to factory settings.
To use this phone enter your pervious pin
Any solution, how to fix this?
Hello!

Just loaded the PixelExperience_Plus_mido-11.0-20211216-1807-OFFICIAL.zip (Android 11 (Plus Edition)) to my Redmi Note 4. I have some questions now about tweaks and features with this ROM:

1. Is it possible to change the battery saver the way like that: when the saver is activated, no GMail "New Mail" notifications won't come through just like MIUI 8 had? And once I deactive the battery saver, mail notifications start to come through again.

2. Battery red-flashing light that goes on if the battery level is under 30% - is it possible to remove that constant red-flashing and rather replace it with just solid light or no light at all? If I remove the light-feature then it will be no light also when charging, but this last feature is very useful as you can see by the color of the light whether if your phone is fully charged, half-way charged or less.

3. The "Work profile" (Dual apps) feature won't work on 3-rd party apps? Like Facebook or Whatsapp? Only specific system apps? Or is there some other way to add 2 different accounts of these apps?

4. The small "phone turning icon" on the bottom left randomly appears. Is it possible to disable it permanently?

5. Is there any way to restore apps from MIUI backup?

6. Many apps are crashing several times after I can start to use them normally, for example Youtube keeps crashing 3 times before I can watch some videos. It mostly happens after a longer time gap between phone usage, for example 4 hours or so. Could be also related to these 3GB of RAM that this phone has and the overall hardware condition (6 years old phone), but with MIUI 8 it didn't crash so much.

There are definitely more small tweaks that I can't remember at the moment, but these upper ones are the most disturbing at the moment. I also didn't find a native Compass and Scanner apps, so I'm assuming that they aren't default apps for Google Pixel also.

By the way, would you guys recommend trying out Android 13 (Plus Edition) in the means of less problems/tweaks or will it be even tougher one for the hardware of Redmi Note 4?

Thanks!

And for the good thing, the face recognition works flawlessly

I have the same problem on my mido too. Both A12 and A13 ROM impacted. I am now putting it aside (for games only) and use another phones for the road.

How does this ROM compare to LOS 20 in terms of performance and battery? Currently looking to change my ROM as LOS is no longer active

i had PE+ before LOS .. PE is heavier than LOS since it has all GAPSS and Pixel things.. espicilay on 3 GB RAM .. i almost tested all 4.9 ROMs on my mido and find LOS the best option in terms of lightness and performance .. maybe this changes in future who knows
