Trees On This Planet And Their Unique Characteristics

The picture of a tree reminds us of the wise grandfathers that gain everyone’s respect for the wisdom they have managed to create throughout their existence. Trees have been on this planet for many years before people or even animals appeared. Their contribution to the evolution of life on Earth is significant. The whole route of history would be completely different if trees were not as they are and they had a different structure. Today, we do not treat them with the respect they deserve. The reason is that we feel disconnected from nature, and we consider they are different from us. Trees are the gist of life on our planet. We should better start understanding that; if we keep disrespecting them, we will not be able to survive. Today we will talk about some characteristics that will allow us to see that we do not differ as much as we think and that they have some great lessons to teach us as long as we are ready to accept their wisdom.

  1. They have everything they need without having to move
One of the most exciting characteristics of trees is that they are perhaps the only living creatures that do not move. The part that is exposed to the air moves through the wind. Still, the roots are attached to the ground without allowing the tree to make any step from its original position. Only trees, most flowers, and some plants will do that. Animals behave in a completely different way, and they seem to be much freer compared to the wonderful trees that live on this planet. While we keep traveling and struggling, trees seem to be self-sufficient just by existing.
  2. They turn garbage into gold
These living organisms consume carbon dioxide and produce oxygen. Oxygen is what every animal needs on this planet. If you think about it, they are in complete balance with the surrounding environment, and they seem to turn ”garbage” into ”gold.” In a way, they cooperate with everything around them, keeping a balance that is valuable and necessary. At the same time, remember that even though they cannot move, they have everyone else working on their service. Bees will fly from one tree to another, trying to fertilize their flowers and so on. So, trees are team players, but they also seem to take the role of the leader or the king.
  3. They live long
Another thing that characterizes trees is that they live for many years. They do not grow very fast, but they also seem to refuse to die. Unless something in particular happens, a tree will not just stop living. In a world where aging and death are the greatest fears of our society, trees seem to have been blessed with a wonderful gift that many people would kill to have. Fires and strong winds are the only enemies a tree can have. The only thing that can sneakily kill a tree is the existence of a parasite or a rare disease. Otherwise, trees do not have other enemies. Animals will not try to kill them, and other creatures generally love them because of the shadow they can offer.
  4. They host life
Trees are a perfect home for many birds, and animals love them. Their leaves protect us from the rain and the sun. They seem to be great providers for the ecosystem, and life depends on them. Monkeys can climb on them to protect themselves from other animals, and generally, everyone seems to interact with them and adore their existence.
  5. Taking the right shape
Another sign of their fantastic ability to cooperate peacefully is how they shape their main ”body.” Even though the routes cannot move, the rest of the tree will often grow up depending on the obstacles around it. If there is a wall or another tall tree on one side, the tree will change its direction of growth and try to find another way. So, they are more than adjustable and easy-going, another characteristic of their superiority and bizarre wisdom.
