北京时间 3 月 14 日早间消息，知名数字媒体 BuzzFeed 披露，该公司 5600 万美元现金的“大部分”存放在已经破产的硅谷银行。这表明，如果美国政府机构没有在硅谷银行破产后介入，BuzzFeed 的财务状况将变得非常脆弱。
BuzzFeed 在 2022 年第四季度财报中披露了这一情况。财报显示，BuzzFeed 该季度的广告收入同比大幅下降 27%，至 5050 万美元。同时，“内容营收”同比下降 9%，至 5480 万美元。这部分营收主要来自为市场营销者制作的订制化内容。总体来看，BuzzFeed 第四季度总营收 1.346 亿美元，同比下降 8%。2022 年全年营收同比增长 10%，至 4.367 亿美元，净亏损为 2.013 亿美元。
BuzzFeed 对 2023 年第一季度的业绩展望同样不佳，预计总营收为 6100 万至 6700 万美元，比 2022 年同期下降最多 33%。BuzzFeed 首席执行官乔纳・佩雷蒂（Jonah Peretti）在财报中表示，第四季度影响公司业务的不利因素，即宏观经济疲软拖累广告主支出，将一直持续到第一季度。
