Autonomous improvement for engineering teams

Thank you @chrija for hunting us!

Hey Product Hunt 👋

I'm very excited to launch Athenian here today. We built Athenian to help engineering leaders leverage engineering metrics to actually improve on their goals.

We're not the first (or last) company offering engineering metrics. Our approach, however, started with the conviction that metrics aren't enough.

We often draw a parallel between the motivation to use engineering metrics tools and joining a gym. The problem with gyms is that up to 67% of gym memberships go unused, which means despite high-motivation, there is not enough ongoing support to help people achieve their desired results.

The same happens with engineering metrics!

Engineering leaders start using data with high motivation to improve but don't build the organizational habits that lead to continuous results.

This is what we're changing with Athenian. We’re combining engineering metrics with goal-setting mechanisms and our engineering success function that enables our customers to be successful. Hundreds of engineering leaders from companies like Maze 2.0 , TrueLayer or Axios rely on us today.

With Athenian, engineering leaders can: 👉 Unlock actionable insights and identify bottlenecks faster 👉 Empower your teams to improve what matters most 👉 Align engineering initiatives with business impact

Give us a try or listen to the Developing Leadership Podcast that I'm co-hosting with Jason Warner (MD at Redpoint & Former CTO of GitHub). Every 2 weeks we chat about the ins and outs of managing software teams at different stages of your business.
