据SonyAlphaRumors报道，索尼A7M4将于近日获得2.0版本固件更新 ，具体更新内容未知。
同时，另有消息表示， 该固件可能会下放部分索尼A7R5功能，或包含A7R5上新增的“对焦包围功能” ，即可通过拍摄多张焦点位置不同的照片合成更为清晰的影像。
索尼A7M4全画幅微旗舰微单于2021年10月发布，零售价为16999元。
索尼A7M4搭载新研发的约3300万像素全画幅背照式Exmor R CMOS影像传感器，并且实现了可扩展至ISO 50- 204800的宽广感光范围。
