It does go to sleep mode though, like when I turn the truck on, it’s booted up and ready almost instantly. If it was cutting power, I’d assume that it wouldn’t wake up so fast when turning on the truck

My assumption was it boots up when you turn on your car...
But in this case you should use a multimeter to check ACC and B+.

That’s a good idea, I can do that. So the B+/constant should have 12v all the time, and the ACC should only be hot when key is in ACC position, or is it ACC andRun position?

Every head unit has a ground wire. Here you can find the example of an Junsun V1 pro:

Pin 16 is ground.

So I just tested pin 8, it has 2 yellow wires, they are hot even when the key is off. Pin 15 is hot only when the key is in run. That seems normal, except, I would think pin 15 should be hot when key is also in ACC.

It’s got to be something in the CANBus box. I even checked it’s wiring diagram and it’s all wired up correct.

The weird thing is the canbus box that came with it says it’s for a jeep renegade. I was trying to see if I can find a canbus box for my ram, but I can’t find one. Being that they are both Chrysler, I guess it’s possible they are wired up the same and are interchangeable. Or the Chinese seller sent me the wrong canbus box. Either way. I think it’s working correctly. I set a screen off delay when switched off, and that works. So that means it’s not getting a hard power cut.

I’m thinking maybe it’s just not supposed to be on when the ACC position is on the key. I’m pretty sure my stock head unit worked when it was in ACC, but I’m not sure because it wasn’t very often I ever use ACC
