随着电视机尺寸慢慢变得越来越大，它们有一天也许会取代大众对投影仪的需求。
据Gizmodo报道， LG正在开发超大尺寸Miraclass LED屏幕，用于较小的影院，这种新屏幕将会吸引不少观众。
目前，形成巨型屏幕的最佳方式仍然是投影仪，但投影机依赖于产生大量热量的高强度光源，这需要大量的冷却措施来延长其使用寿命。另外冷却声音很大，需要将数字投影仪隐藏在剧院后面的独立房间内。
而Miraclass屏幕的优势在于自发光，无需投影，可以节省很多空间，适合小型的豪华影院，可给观众带来更加舒适的观影体验。
