My Xiaomi 12 Lite came with an EEA ROM (SLIEUXM) installed which had bloatware from Orange, so I want to do a clean flash of a newer EEA ROM (TLIEUXM) to get rid of those useless apps. My question is if I can safely lock the bootloader again after installing. AFAIK I can as long as I don't install custom/chinese ROMs, but idk if being a phone from Orange makes any difference.

An Orange rom always ends with SLIEUOR.
Edit:
SLIEUXM:
S=android 12/LI=device code/EU=EEA rom(for Europe)/XM=Carrier unlocked.
So not an Orange rom but an EEA (for Europe)..
Maybe Orange has added some apps but which must be uninstallable or deactivated since it is an addition to an EEA rom, unlike an OR rom where the apps can be part of the system.
Use Miflash to flash a fastboot rom (TGZ file).(delete your data)
Preferred a Global rom that does not include the limitations required by the EU.
You can lock the bootloader with any rom version, except CN version.
