We’re super happy to announce the dates and locations for Scala Days 2023, the largest Scala conference in the United States and Europe, and launch the call for papers.
This will be the 11th edition of Scala Days, and Xebia Functional is proud to be an organizing host for the event. Scala Days started at EPFL in 2010 and has become the leading Scala conference, with two annual editions. This year’s Scala Days marks the conference’s return since it was put on hold in 2020. This year we’re happy to host in Seattle, WA, in the US, and Madrid, Spain.
Seattle:
Workshops: June 4th – 5th (separate ticket)

Join other Scala users, companies, and developers from across the globe to share ideas and expertise around creating applications using Scala and other related technologies such as Spark, Akka, Kafka, and more.
Call for Papers
Looking to speak at Scala Days? The conference aims to provide up-to-date and practical knowledge on Scala for software developers, architects, team leads, and researchers.
We are looking for talks on various Scala topics, including Functional Programming fundamentals, Open Source, machine learning, security issues, and next-generation tooling. You can visit the Scala Days YouTube Channel to gain inspiration from previous talks.
The Call for Papers will be open until February 20th, when the Scala Center and the Scala Days program committee will review submissions.
