On one of my updates it disappeared. But I simply reinstalled it.
Yeah I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling but it just goes right back to being disabled as soon as I open my settings. I thought it was preventing me from getting the C.33 update but it still came in the other day and the update went fine. Still disabled after the update though.
i am on KB2003_11_C.33
Can i use this guide to root my phone? Already done unlocked boatloader.

but coming on here, reading about OOS12 and the problems, difficulties moving from OOS11 to 12, and now some potential RAM over-volting issues that can brick the phone for good?!
... I really could use a quick summary of what's actually going on please?
Should I bother updating from 11.0.13.13 ...if not, is there a way to turn OFF system update notifications?
...every thread I start reading leads me to other threads, and more issues, it's overwhelming to be honest.

I'm happy with OOS 12. I'm in KB2005 C.33 now (I came from the same version you're on). The one thing I'd recommend is doing a factory reset after upgrading. I had a number of issues with OOS 12 initially but they all disappeared after a reset.

I downloaded the full C.11 ROM, can I still use the same boot.img extraction method, and same patching method with Magisk?
Has anything changed in the rooting process from OOS11 to OOS12?
...I'm really not looking forward to factory reset! ...all those app logins and setups... I hope Titanium Backup is still going strong these days!

Coming from a rooted Pixel 2XL. Been a while since I rooted so Im reading up making sure I dont brick my new unit. Im on VZW (I know) and really want root. So, help me out if you are so inclined.
EDIT: Also, will I be able to upgrade to 12??
EDIT 2: Ok, read that 12 is a disaster, maybe... ugh, thinking I should cancel this order.
Have the 8T, love it and want to make this work.
Things I know:
1. need to unlock via getting code from Tmobile/Oneplus...NEED HELP. I have the device code via adb so thats done. Not sure how to get the unlock code. Not a Tmobile customer... UPDATE: Sent the unlock code request on the OP site. How long do I wait? Update: Got a note back from OP support, 7-10 days.
2. I know there is no image for the tmo phone... but i read that I could use the EU files? True? And how would I go about picking the correct file? Or does Magisk use installed img to patch?.. not clear on this step
Update: I read something about using "DD" on the partitions. Will this extract an image for me to use??
3. As for function, I activated it and couldnt receive texts, and maybe other data. I know I have to call VZW and request CDMA-less? What exactly am I requesting so I know how to request it and what NOT to say.
So, if someone could help me connect the dots here I would really appreciate it. Im not a novice but not a pro. I root and daily drive so I need stability and clarity of function. If this is not the phone for me to have this security and DD, then let me know.

I am on OxygenOS 12_C35 on my OP8T. Installed root via Magisk, activat3ed Zygisk and the SafetyNet fix. Works fine.
The only problem I am having atm is that I can't enable my Wifi.
Directly after activating it, it gets disabled automatically.
I searched for it but haven't fany fix for this.
Can anyone here help me perhaps?

EDIT: Solved. I just did the part on how to keep root when doing an Update but installed the same OygenOS Version again as local update from the setting. After this Wifi is working fine

Huh, so no help here? Anyone...anyone... I got my unlock code bin file. Just waiting for some clarification on above.

Someone know what is this? I'm trying to flash magisk boot.img but with "adb reboot fastboot" it brings me hereView attachment 5805215
It should work the same, just try to flash from there. Otherwise, try adb reboot bootloader to boot to standard fastboot.
