Product development software that works for you

Hey everyone 👋🏻 My name is Roman but I go by Nodeful online and I'm the sole developer of eqMac. I've been slowly chipping away at this project for the last 7 years, 5 of those was over evening and weekends and for the last year and a half mostly full-time.

I've been motivated to build this as I had some crappy headphones in 2015 and wanted to make them sound better and be more Bassy and there were no good and free solutions available at the time. I've built a version with Basic EQ and Advanced 10 Band EQ and released it into the world some time ago. Since then a lot more features have been added, some free some paid, but the Basic and Advanced EQ are still free to use and will stay this way forever!

It was a crazy journey to get to this stage, filled with frustration, excitement and anxiety 😅 I had to learn so much about Audio Programming and Sound theory in general.

The app is built with a combination of Swift for the Audio processing side and TypeScript + Angular for the UI. Up to version 1.3 the app has been Open Sourced so you can check out the inner workings of it here: https://github.com/bitgapp/eqMac but at this point it's pretty outdated and the app went through a big rewrite lately.

I have huge future plans for this product, adding more features, potentially making it cross platform and build a Hardware device to support any platform imaginable.

Please try it out and if you feel like it let me know what you think. I will be here checking comments every now and then so if you have any questions have a go. If you want to contact me more privately you can reach out to [email protected]
