DaVinci Resolve pro video editing app launches on iPad

Yes, that's the popular DaVinci Resolve video-editing application running on iPad.

Blackmagic Design introduced the promised iPad version of it’s DaVinci Resolve professional video editing application. Beyond editing, it also handles color correction.
The software is available for download now from the App Store.
DaVinci Resolve for iPad is not a mere shadow of the Mac app
While many professionals prefer iPad to Mac, they’re sometimes forced to use macOS because the pro-grade applications they need aren’t available for iPadOS. Blackmagic Design is doing what it can to change that.
“DaVinci Resolve for iPad now available!” crowed the developer. “Get the same color correction and editing tools used on Hollywood films on iPad.”
Blackmagic Design promises the tablet version is “optimized for MultiTouch technology and Apple Pencil, DaVinci Resolve for iPad features support for cut and color pages providing access to DaVinci’s award winning image technology, color finishing tools and latest HDR workflows.”
It opens and creates project files that are compatible with the desktop version of DaVinci Resolve 18.
The iPad application supports files in a variety of formats, including H.264, H.265, Apple ProRes and Blackmagic RAW. These can be imported from the iPad Pro internal storage and Photos library, iCloud or externally connected USB-C drives.
It supports Blackmagic Cloud multi-user collaboration, as well as an AI-based magic mask, voice isolation, dialogue leveler and more.
The iPadOS software delivers 4x faster Ultra HD ProRes render performance on the 2022 iPad Pro with an M2 processor. HDR is also supported on the 12.9-inch iPad Pro with M1. Tablets without an M-series processor and memory limitations “have limited functionality available,” according to Blackmagic Design.
The professional video editing tool can be found now on the App Store. It’s free, but an upgrade to DaVinci Resolve Studio for iPad is also available as a $94.99 in-app purchase.
DaVinci Resolve for iPad isn’t a dumbed-down version.
