Redmi Note 12 series India launch around the corner
Xiaomi is gearing up to launch the Redmi Note 12 series of smartphones in India to compete with the much-awaited Realme 10 lineup.
To recap, the Note 12 Series made its debut in China back in October. Notably, the lineup has four smartphones including Note 12 5G, 12 5G Explorer Edition, 12 Pro 5G, and 12 Pro+ 5G.
However, Xiaomi is still mum on its plan to launch the handsets in the global markets. Still, the devices have bagged multiple certifications that suggest their global debut is around the corner.

In the meantime, noted tipster Mukul Sharma has shed some light on the Redmi Note 12 series India launch. According to Sharma, Xiaomi will bring its 12 series smartphones into the Indian market soon.

Sharma claims the Indian version of the Note 12 Pro+ will house a mammoth 200MP main camera. MIUI tester Kacper Skrzypek recently indicated that the Note 12 Pro+ 5G will launch in India with a different moniker.

Apparently, he believes the handset will launch in the country as Xiaomi 12i HyperCharge. Regrettably, the charging speeds of the Indian variant are still a mystery.
Also, Xiaomi is reportedly prepping to unveil a 4G-ready model of the Note 12 Pro in India. This device could be a rebadged Redmi Note phone.
A report by MySmartPrice suggests Note 12 series phones will launch in India in early 2023. However, the Chinese smartphone giant hasn’t confirmed this speculation yet.
Under the hood, the 12 Pro series will pack a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC. Moreover, the lineup will come with OLED display panels that support Full HD+ resolution.
Aside from this, the display will support a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphones will probably get in-display fingerprint scanners. The Note 12 Pro might feature a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor with OIS.
The Note 12 Pro+ will get a 200MP Samsung HMX sensor with OIS. Upfront, the Note 12 series will house a 16MP selfie camera. The phones will draw the juices from a 5000mAh battery.
