MacRumors获得的一份备忘录显示，未来几周内，苹果将把所有iPad mini 3蜂窝/Wi-Fi机型标记为“停产”（Obsolete）产品。目前，iPad mini 3系列中，仅有部分特定蜂窝型号被列为停产产品。停产产品的所有硬件服务都会停止，服务提供商也不能为停产的设备订购零部件。
