A Simple illustration for SAP Data & Analytics

0 1 116

Data is everywhere in this era of digital transformation. Terabytes and Petabytes of data gets generated every hour through structured, unstructured and semi-structured data channels. Data driven decision making is the need of the hour where companies can gain proper insights for taking better decisions and getting competitive edge. Data Analysis is beneficial only when it can provide the insights which are helpful for strategic business decisions.

Now that we have seen how to expose OData services from S/4HANA in my previous blog post,

Exposing master data as ODATA service from S/4 HANA on-premise | SAP Blogs

we will continue to explore more in the area of SAP Data & Analytics. Having said that we can understand that SAP has S/4HANA as the source of data and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) to do the analytics.

Now we will create a story in SAP Analytics Cloud.

Now we need to add data for the analytics. We can add data as file upload, data source, or from an existing data set or model.

Conclusion: We have seen a very simple illustration for provisioning the data set and performing analytics on the data. SAP Data & Analytics can be highly beneficial if used properly to bring out the insight from data.
